Rainbow Country
Located on Lake Huron’s north channel, this is a sailor’s paradise with thousands of islands and countless coves, inlets and secluded bays to discover. Rainbow Country is also home to Manitoulin Island – the world’s largest fresh water island with a rich Aboriginal heritage. Each August this area hosts the Great Manitou Star Party – a family friendly event time to coincide with the peak of the Perseid Meteor Shower. Star gazers can expect to one shooting star per minute! Other popular pastimes include golfing at the more than two dozen courses and ATVing on an ever expanding network of trails.
